Murukhu™ are Preeti's modern twist on a traditional Indian snack food. These popular snacks are known by several different names in India, but are most commonly called “murukhu,” or “murukku,” a word in the Tamil language meaning “twist”. They are also known as “chakri” or “chakli”. Murukhu™ are made primarily of rice flour, so they are 100% gluten-free! They also contain lentils, sesame seeds and a variety of spices. These delicious all-natural snacks have a very satisfying crunch and an appealing appearance. We call them “nicely spiced” because they have a robust flavor without being overly hot and spicy. Murukhu™ are great on their own or for dipping in hummus or your favorite dip. Caution -- they're highly addictive!
Murukhu are sold in a 7 oz. resealable bag to preserve ...freshness. They stay fresh for up to two months, but they won't last that long! We sell them by the box with 25 bags per box. Allergen and Dietary Warning: Contains sesame seeds and dairy. Processed in a facility that processes peanuts.

Idly, is a steamed cake made from rice and black lentils originating from Southern India. Idly’s are made in a specialized mold and eaten with chutney, vegetable stew or other flavorful toppings for breakfast or as a snack. These small treats are good for you and, as a bonus, convenient for those on the go. To make your diet a bit healthier, swap a donut or muffin for an idly. It is a fermented food, and fermentation increases bioavailability of minerals in food, helping the body assimilate more nutrition. The bio availability of proteins and vitamin-B content in the food increases. Idly’s are steamed! Unlike most of our Indian snacks, they are not fried in fattening oil or slathered with butter. Since the grease content in idly is so less, the calories intake is also relatively low. ...Our idly batter come in 30 oz containers/tubs. Each container produces about 16 medium-sized idly’s. Our batter stays fresh for up to four weeks in the refrigerator.
Ingredients : Rice, Urad dal, rice, fenugreek seeds.

Over 20 years ago, Ana Kumar started selling her delicious homemade snacks to help her growing family make ends meet while her husband was in medical school. She sold her products at local Indian markets, and they were an instant success. Over the years, she added new products and started selling under the brand name Preeti Foods. Today, her products can be found at select retailers from Orlando to Seattle.
In 2019, with her three boys finally all grown up and out of the house, she decided to rebrand and scale-up her business. And so Ana Kumar's Kitchen was born.
